Starting and maintaining Dreads in straight or wavy hair

Sideshow BobImage via Wikipedia

I have had a lot more requests for dreads lately. One of the most common statements made by my dready clients is that they have always wanted their hair done that way - or at least they have wanted it for a while. That's a good thing because starting a head of dreads is a commitment both in time and maintenance. It takes 4-6 hours to start dreads, depending on the size and length of the hair. They don't start out looking like the smooth ropes of hair most people desire - in fact in order to get them started nice and tight, they initially give the wearer a "Sideshow Bob" look.
Luckily this effect is only temporary, and as the knots tighten - with the use of the right products which will speed up the process - the dreads begin to form and look like classic locks. Dread wax, accelerator spray, lock peppa and dread shampoo from Dread Head hq are the products I like to use. Dread Dead HQ Supa Dupa Dread Kit

I love doing this hair style and look forward to getting pictures from my clients as their dreads mature!
